Linsheng Explained: Different Types Of Emergency Power Applications
linsheng introduced the different characteristics of five emergency power supplies
(1) Generator sets that are independent of normal power sources: including emergency gas turbine generator sets and emergency diesel generator sets. The fast self-starting generator set is suitable for power supply that allows the power supply to be interrupted for more than 15 seconds.
(2) UPS uninterruptible power supply. Applicable to loads that allow interrupts to be powered for milliseconds.
(3) EPS emergency power supply. An emergency power source that inverts DC power of a battery into AC power. Applicable to loads that allow interrupted power supply time of 0.25s or more.
(4) A dedicated feeder line with an automatic input device that is effectively independent of the normal power source. Applicable to loads that allow interrupted power supply time of 1.5s or more.
(5) Battery. It is suitable for particularly important loads with small capacity, and it is possible to use DC power.
